Agreeing the price, payment and commercial terms

Make the quotation clear enough that both parties understand what is being supplied and which costs are included.

Build an itemised quotation

State the lot reference, inventory version, quantity, unit price and total for the goods. Separately identify preparation, loading, transport and other agreed services. Confirm how applicable taxes will be shown on the invoice rather than assuming that every business sale has the same tax treatment.

A headline resale price is not a guaranteed selling price. Assess the assortment, expected handling work and unsold stock using your own business information.

Agree a payment process

The buyer and seller choose and document the payment method, due dates and any stages. Before making a payment, check that the beneficiary matches the agreed business and independently confirm unexpected changes to payment details.

LOTB2B does not currently collect payment for goods, hold funds in escrow or provide a payment guarantee. Do not interpret a published listing or account confirmation as payment protection.

Write down what happens if something differs

Clarify inspection arrangements, the goods accepted, responsibility for collection or delivery and how discrepancies should be reported. Agree the relevant commercial terms before the goods move. Do not assume that a general phrase such as “liquidation stock” resolves every question about defects or missing units.

Keep the accepted quotation, invoice and payment evidence linked to the same lot. For tax treatment, contract terms or a significant dispute, obtain advice appropriate to the parties, product and countries involved.
